Duplicate Finder is a program that will find duplicate files on your hard disk.
You can then decide if you want to keep those files, or delete them to regain the space they are occupying in your hard disk.
You can adjust the program to look just into a specified disk and path, and indicate it if it should scan subfolders or not. The user can also tell the program to exclude a list of files, or set filters to ignore some files, according to its size, file name, extension or date. Duplicate Finder can use several scan methods (referred as search engines) to look for duplicates. You will be able to choose to tell the program to use the Byte by Byte method (that will let you specify the file name similarity percentage necessary to consider a file as a duplicate, or if it should have the same file extension and date), the CRC-32, Same File, Music Duplicates or Pattern Duplicates methods.
If you launch the Search, the program will look for the duplicates, and then will show you a list with the files that it found. You can preview those files in order to verify which ones you want to keep and which ones you want to delete. Then, you can mark the chosen files for deletion, and tell the program to eliminate them.
The trial version of this program will let you delete just the first fifty duplicate files found, with a size smaller than 2 Mb.
